The Danish Home is a Museum, Cultural Center, and event space with a large property and historic buildings located in Edison, New Jersey. The Danish Home was originally built as a communal home for the aged but is now a thriving institution and hidden gem. The buildings and picnic grove are sheltered in a bower of trees in a setting out of another age. At the same time it

is centrally located and easily accessible: it is less than an hour from NYC, directly off of Rt. 287.

The Danish Archive Northeast (D.A.N.E.) is also headquartered at the Danish Home. It is a genealogical and archival non-profit that preserves documents, connects families with their histories, and helps to maintain the museum at the Danish Home. Interested in museums, genealogy, or archiving?
